The Maccabiah, the largest Jewish sporting event in the world, is held every four years.
The 21st Games will begin on July 12 and will last for two weeks.
Athletes will compete in dozens of sporting disciplines and will be cheered on by tens of thousands of support staff, spectators and tourists. As part of the games, there will be many sporting events taking place around the country that will be open to the general public under the slogan, ‘Israel Celebrates Sport’, as well as a range of social events offering a unique and unforgettable environment for families and individuals from Israel and abroad. Maccabi World Union is the largest and longest-running international Jewish sporting organization, which recently celebrated 100 years since its establishment. The organization has 450,000 members in 400 clubs in 80 countries.
