During a recent interview on A Mano Limpia, hosted by Oscar Haza on WJAN-Channel 41 (Florida), President Obama declared that Venezuela’s President Hugo Chávez has not posed “a serious” national security threat to the United States.
Perhaps, he considered Chávez’s rhetoric simply as “business as usual” in Latin American politics: blaming U.S. foreign policy as the source of all regional evils. In that context, Chávez’s “anti-Imperialist” speech might, at a stretch, be perceived as ordinary propaganda bluster and not a major threat.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman met on Wednesday 25 July 2012 in Brussels with Baroness Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

President Peres meets with Israel's new ambassador to Ethiopia

President Shimon Peres met on Tuesday 24 July 2012 with Zevadia Belaynesh, Israel's first Ethiopian-born ambassador, who will be departing shortly to head Israel’s embassy in Addis Ababa.

His Excellency Mr. Isaac Gilinski, Ambassador of Colombia in Israel, hosted a scintillating reception to mark the Colombian National Day of Independence. Colombia has been a free and independent country for over 200 years now, and in the Ambassador’s words: “Israel and Colombia have been close partners and friends for several decades. We share common values and a respect for democratic governance and the rule of law”.
Among the distinguished guests, which included members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives of the Israeli government (including Minister of Agriculture Ms. Orit Noked) and Colombians living in Israel, was former Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Noemi Sanin, always a great friend of Israel. The former Colombian Ambassador to Israel, Mr. David de la Rosa and his wife Grace , also graced the event with his presence.
