Emma Shapplin Returns to Israel: A Voice Beyond Borders

In June, the renowned French soprano Emma Shapplin will return to Israel with grand concerts in Tel Aviv and Haifa, joined by the Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra and a choir. The shows will feature music from her new album French Touch.

Emma first performed internationally in Israel, at Caesarea in 1999, where her famous song Spente Le Stelle debuted. The concert was a massive success, and she was named “Woman of the Year” in Israel. Her debut album became the best-selling non-Israeli album in the country at the time.

Since then, Emma has visited Israel five more times, always to sold-out crowds. Her 2003 performance in Caesarea was released as her first live DVD. She describes a deep spiritual connection with Israeli audiences.

Emma’s breakthrough came with her 1997 album Carmine Meo, which sold over two million copies and topped charts in 25 countries. She has since worked with music legends and contributed to the Red Planet film soundtrack.

Her shows are known for blending powerful vocals with theatrical elements. The new concerts will include classic hits and tracks from French Touch, which mixes French and English lyrics with electro-pop, lounge, and jazz influences, plus well-known French and Italian covers.

Concert Dates:

June 3, 20.00, Tel Aviv, Israeli Opera House

June 6, Haifa, Oren Hall, Congress Center
