MUZA – Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, steps out into the urban landscape with "MUZA on the Line"—an exhibition at the Light Rail’s Allenby Station. The display showcases a selection of works by Israeli artists and designers who participated in the three Tel Aviv Bienniales of Crafts and Design, held since 2020. The exhibition, produced in collaboration with NTA and Tevel Metro—the operator of the Red Line—offers an encounter with art and design as part of the daily urban commute.
"MUZA on the Line" bridges the gap between traditional craft and contemporary creative fields. Ceramics, glass, mosaic, stone, textiles, and metal intersect with new technologies, innovative material applications, and creative modes of thinking. The works reflect knowledge and skills passed down through generations, reinterpreted by creators through craftsmanship, material research, digital tools, and design processes.
The Tel Aviv Biennial of Crafts and Design is an extensive exhibition held at MUZA – Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, dedicated to contemporary craft and design in Israel. "MUZA on the Line" connects three editions of the Biennial—2020, 2023, and 2026—bringing a selection of the works previously showcased to passengers on the Light Rail. The featured pieces offer a glimpse into the material and conceptual diversity of these Biennials.

By presenting this exhibition at the Allenby Station, the encounter with Israeli creative work extends beyond the confines of the museum. The station—a transit point for passengers heading to work, school, or leisure—transforms into a space for contemplation and discovery. Amidst the daily flow of movement, the exhibition invites the public to explore the materials, techniques, and ideas that engage creators in Israel today.
Amiram Ohayon, CEO of Tevel Metro (Light Rail operator), states: "An exhibition like 'MUZA on the Line' perfectly demonstrates the potential of these stations to host high-caliber displays, bringing contemporary Israeli art to the thousands of passengers who travel along the Red Line every day. We are proud of our collaboration with MUZA; we view the Red Line not merely as transport infrastructure, but as an urban stage for culture and community—one that enriches the overall travel experience."

Gil Omer, Director General of MUZA, adds: "We want encounters with art to become a part of everyday urban life. The exhibition at the Allenby station allows us to reach new audiences and offers passengers a moment of discovery while on the move." "The collaboration with Tevel Metro brings Israeli creative work into a space where people meet and pass through daily, granting it a presence within the public sphere."
Raz Samira, Deputy Director and Chief Curator at MUZA: "Extending the Biennale to the train station allows for an encounter with the artworks, even for those who have not visited the exhibitions. Through 'MUZA on the Line,' the Biennale takes on a new life outside the museum; the connection between works from the three Biennales creates new contexts and offers a perspective on the body of work accumulated over the years. It is an opportunity to provide an additional platform for the artists who participated."
