Some 500 representatives from over 200 countries will attend the conference, titled "Coping with International Terrorism." Among other speakers will be Ministers Katz, Shaked, Steinitz and Levin, as well as the ambassadors of the United States, Spain and France.

The 6th annual Diplomatic Conference will take place on December 6, 2017 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem.  The conference, which will focus on the subject of coping with international terrorism,  will host some 500 representatives from 200 countries, including the United States, Britain, Austria, Brazil, Canada, the European Union and more – ambassador, diplomats serving in Israel, military and economic attaches, embassy spokespeople and senior representatives from the Israeli business world.

The importance of the conference derives from increasing the knowledge of the diplomats serving in Israel about the vital issues the country faces via  in-depth overviews on all fronts: foreign and domestic policy, economics and security.

Taking part in the conference will be President Reuven Rivlin, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, and Zionist Union leader and former minister Avi Gabbay.

In addition, many other Israeli ministers, foreign diplomats and leading opinion makers will discuss the challenges facing Europe, Israel and the United States in the shadow of world terrorism. Among the Israeli speakers will be: Transportation Minister Israel Katz, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, National Infrastructure,  Energy and Water Minister Yuval Steinitz and Tourism Minister Yariv Levin.

Other speakers include US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman in his first public speech since taking up his position, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov, Spanish Ambassador Manuel Gomez-Acebo, head of EU Delegation to Israel Emanuele Giaufret , French Ambassador  Hélène Le Gal, Trade Commissioner Director of the Foreign Trade Administration Ohad Cohen and Sima Vaknin-Gill, director-general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Public Diplomacy.

The conference is raising great interest and many journalists, both from Israel and abroad, have already confirmed their attendance.

The conference will be moderated by Yaakov Katz, editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post.
